I enjoyed reading your business plan and your critique is good. Your business idea shows innovation and a great market opportunity. According to Blawatt “An explicit innovation strategy helps you design a system to match your specific competitive needs”.
Since the freight brokerage market is disjointed you have opportunity to capitalize on more effective and efficient transport through HWT.
As far as the presentation, it is great and meets all the needs of a business plan to present to stakeholders. Your critique of market timing is good, but I don’t think that will impede your project or delay its implementation. I wouldn’t change your approach as far as the slides or wording of your work.

Very interesting as this is an industry I do not know much about so I appreciate the education in it. I realize your concern regarding timing of implementation and I especially like how you acknowledge the pitfalls of the discovery phase. However, if you are thorough in your review process and feedback assessments, as it seems you have a good contingency plan for, you should be successful with this launch. It would seem your plan is targeted towards using this device in industrial shipping of business orders. Do you foresee a greater or lesser need for this device if the current business impacts of the pandemic persist?
I really enjoyed reading your critique. I do think you will have tons of good competition. How will you make sure you stick out from the others? I think this is a great time to release a new product onto the market to track inventory. Things are moving slow enough that this couldn’t be a better time to introduce a new process.
I agree with your ending statement, hoping we all can finish strong and it looks like you’re on track to do so. I agree with your strength assessments, especially with showing the way the system works. You were able to relate it to something many would already be familiar with. Being one that is naive to the inner workings of the transportation industry that helped me understand the product idea and why it would be a beneficial addition.
Perhaps one thing to consider adding to your final presentation would be more visual diagrams or charts to help show the ideas your presenting. This could be especially strong in the financial discussions to show how you arrived at the quoted numbers and estimations for sales numbers, revenues, and forecasts. That would likely be a question you would have posed to you by an investor or executive considering your plan.

I enjoyed your presentation and am impressed with your audiovisual presence. You spoke clearly and did a great job promoting HW Logistics in a way that stakeholders will understand the product, and also invest in it. Your examples were well thought out, and help the audience gain knowledge and enthusiasm for the product. Open communication in the company is important and a key positive factor for investors as they know the company keeps everyone informed.
We all presented a little differently, and it is nice to share ideas, and see what other people are doing with their presentations. I agree it is fun to present and at the same time be able to record our presentations.
I received the same critique on a Q & A section, and believe your presentation could benefit from a Q & A session as well. Your presentation was polished and doesn’t need much change, but this may help the audience to give their feedback and interest. I believe key takeaways are there, but an audience member will always remember an answer to a question that they ask. Visuals like charts and graphs also help the audience visualize the success of the product.
Another area which may help is storytelling. I will also add storytelling into my presentation. According to Carriger (2011),using anecdotes as stories leads to more favorable outcomes for communicators using this technique.
