For this Assessment, you will answer a series of short-answer questions to describe the importance of information technology in supporting an organization’s business functions. You will include a discussion of the types of information systems the company needs and why those systems might be important. You will also identify key hardware and software components required to support a company’s operations and the role of their knowledge workers/people in ensuring the management information systems are used effectively.
Assessment Submission Length: 9 items, with responses ranging in length from 75–300 words (1–4 paragraphs) per item
Before submitting your Assessment, carefully review the rubric. This is the same rubric the assessor will use to evaluate your submission and it provides detailed criteria describing how to achieve or master the Competency. Many students find that understanding the requirements of the Assessment and the rubric criteria help them direct their focus and use their time most productively.
